Dana Germer

Bookkeeper / Office Manager

Dana Germer brings over 30 years of experience as a Bookkeeper and Office Manager to Trusler Legal PLLC. A Dallas native who now calls Austin home, Dana’s career journey began while attending the University of Texas when she worked for a friend’s mother-a pivotal opportunity that allowed her to remain in Austin during the challenging job market of the 1990s. This early position sparked her interest in accounting, which she has continued to develop throughout her career.

Dana has honed her financial and administrative expertise across multiple industries, including at several successful businesses she co-founded with her husband, Stephen. Her approach to professional growth has always been hands-on, mastering accounting principles and financial management through practical application while remaining eager to expand her knowledge.

Active in the Austin community for decades, Dana has been involved with several notable organizations. She and Trusler Legal’s founder, Cristi, first met in the early 2000s through the Junior League of Austin when they both performed with the Playhouse Singers at retirement homes around Austin. Dana’s community leadership extended to the Symphony League and St. Gabriel’s School, where she chaired galas for both organizations, in addition to her volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity and Safe Place over the years.

Outside of her role at Trusler Legal, Dana enjoys reading, shopping, and spending quality time with her family. A devoted parent, she cherishes weekend mornings drinking coffee with Stephen, watching shows with her son, and cooking with her daughter. The family’s Bernedoodle, Whiskey, rounds out their household.

Dana’s love for travel was ignited by a post-high school European trip with her mother-an experience she was thrilled to share with her twins and hopes to repeat when they’re in college this Fall at Baylor.

Friends and colleagues describe Dana as organized, helpful, supportive, and loyal-qualities that shine through in both her professional work and personal interactions. Her unexpected passion? Organizing and purging other people’s belongings-a talent that serves her well as office manager.

Dana approaches challenges with resilience and compassion, qualities she developed while helping both parents through illness and managing their affairs after their passing, 25 years apart to the day.

Her advice, which reflects her approach to both life and work: “Stop worrying about what everyone else is thinking about you, but always be nice to everyone.”
